There are people in your lives that are lifers. You know those? The kind of people you know will be in your life, whether physically present or not, for life. They are the type of souls that you can pick up with even if it’s been a week, a month, or a year since your last visit. Ani is one of those people. She is genuine through and through and is and will be a lifer. Annika was a high school student in our church youth group. I just learned that she came to the group because of a cute boy. Ha! She fit into the group beautifully and ended up being a leader and the kind of person everyone wanted to be around. She headed off to Liberty University after graduation. One day I, Rachel, got a call from Ani. She was describing this cute boy that was sitting behind her in one of her classes. She was crushing big time on Alex but didn’t even know his name. Well this crush eventually turned into dating, and then love. Alex came out to California to visit on a Christmas break and we all fell in love with him too. He is kind and genuine. He is up for adventure, just like Annika and we knew they were a great match. We didn’t know if post graduation would keep the pair on the east coast, but we would like to credit some of our brainwashing skills (Beck and I have been told we are effective brainwashers by a Annika and a few others) to the couple’s decision to live back in Fairfield. Ok, so maybe it’s family but we are also the beneficiaries of their journey back to the West Coast. Ani and Alex’s special day was absolutely perfect. These two were relaxed in the time leading up to the ceremony, so incredibly authentic in their vows, and ready for a party at the reception. It was the perfect day. They were surrounded by such dear friends and family who had a blast celebrating their union. It was an absolute joy and privilege to photograph their wedding. We are beyond thrilled to have these lifers in the Flatz for this season. There is sure to be much laughter, Dutch Blitz games, and Wurzbach Fisher offspring dates with Ani and Alex in their future. Thank you for letting us be a part of your lives. We love you guys!
